Because Coko asked me, if I could write something about the YAs, I’ll just write something about the workshop at the Engelsburg 2006.
The workshop was my third workshop I did, so I already knew how it was going to be like. Nevertheless was this one a very special one for me!! I met very very nice people and learnt to understand myself better and I got a whole new sense in exposure to people. It was just amazing!! Even the three day were very exhausting and hot, it was just awesome!! I had so much fun and could laugh soo much!!
It was just awesome!!
Love you!
Marsha

I think the YAs were very nice and cool. They tought us many things and we could practise this at the breaks. And we could ask them if we had some questions. They were patient and (I said this soon) very nice. More I can't say, but I hope that they come to our school again.

LIVE
June 11th 2006
This show tonight was the best show I've seen on this tour so far! You could see the happiness in each face and it was just amazing! You did an amazing job and I just want to thank you for turning this evening in such a special one! You know how much all of you mean to me and how much I appreciate and how much I look up to what you're doing!
Thanks so much for just everything, just one smile from any of you makes my day!
I love you all!

at the Engelsburg Gymnasium
in Kassel
to see that nearly everything went well was such a relief. I was so nervous before the yas arrived and thought all would went horrible, but in the end it was all good!
The students had so much fun and even after the work shop you could see them dancing on the schoolyard and singing! last week a couple of kids started singing "this little light of mine" and others joined them! it's great to see that the happiness and energy isn't just for the workshop, it lasts much longer!
well, now something about the workshop! The Young Americans arrived at 1pm on Friday, it was Julie's Birthday;-) They did their warm up and brought everything from the truck into the gym! and actually till that moment I'd never realized how very small our gym is!! the workshop started at 3 as usual and with the first second the townkids were just full of energy and wanted to learn all the dances and songs! it was really hot, so in the afternoon we got kind of tired..luckily the yas motivated each of us so good that they learnt the dances pretty fast!
workshop on Saturday was amazing, we had our dance circle and our three classes! impro class was just awesome! we sat on the school yard and had soo much fun! lyrical dance was so amazing and voice class as well! in voice class Charles played with us "Charles game" so he was the conductor and everyone that didn't look at him had to sit down. Was so much fun playing this game. When we did it the second time Charlie came from behind and taped some people on the shoulder, so they turned around and had to sit down;-)
in the dinner break many yas went to H&M and for shopping, like the cast in 2003!
in the evening the yas had to tear down everything and after that Andrew, J.R, J.T., Bobby, Charlie, James, Martin, Mirja, Maike, Mandy, Wiana, Sarah and me (I hope I didn't forget anyone!!) went to a bar and just hang out for an hour! It was so much fun!
Sunday morning the YAs were already in the Bürgerhaus in Hessisch Lichtenau when I mum woke me up to tell me that there was no teacher to help them, so I got ready in 5 minutes and drove there...after helping Mark and some other YAs a little bit, the workshop began and we ran the whole show! Then we had a break and started the show! It was just awesome!!
But after the show when only the homestays were there the YAs said bye to Tim who had to fly back to the USA because he hurt his knee! They sang a song together ("everything is gonna me alright.....") and then he left! so sad!! I love you Tim, hope you're well now!!!
Monday morning we all went to the bus to say goodbye and some students even cried an hour after the yas had left! I took a lot of pictures with them, luckily I knew that I would see them for one more week in Kaufungen and at another school in Kaufungen...
anyway, one last thing:
Wiana and Sarah! I love you so much girls, you don't have to worry about my teachers or anyone, everything's alright and I would have NEVER let them tell you not to do the workshop! because I'm a pighead and I just love you both!! I really hope to see you very soon because I miss you like crazy!!
